Hi Tweety

Stars that sounds like the weather we had yesterday

Rose I find higher temperatures less tolerable as I get older too

TMB hope they get the fires under control soon

Yesterday was mostly the reunion for me.  Left in the morning and got there about mid morning, stayed until the later afternoon.  Was good, we had about 13 people there.  Due to the heat we mostly stayed inside.  Was a nice time, was probably a good decision to go down just for the day.  Probably could've stayed overnight but I might have worn out on family by then.  Rest of the day was pretty quiet, drove home and relaxed.  Driving up and back was not difficult, only about an hour and a half

Today should hopefully be an ordinary work day.  After work have exercise and grocery shopping

Will be a bit cooler today, in the lower 90s, although storms expected later

Good morning!

Joe, glad you had a decent time.

I was able to attend my meeting from home yesterday via Microsoft Teams on my phone.  Got to love technology.  It started on time and ended exactly on time which I appreciated.  Not sure if anything came out of it but got some information.  The leadership courses they want us to attend might be held here instead of Orlando since we're becoming more of a regional hub as they expend to the west of Florida.  Hopefully that will be the case.

I'm still relatively heat tolerant, I mean I got to yoga in a 104 degree room.  I read the other day our average number of days over 90 has increased due to climate change compared to the past.  We routinely have "feels like" temps over 100. We also have tempered heat during the rainy season like now.  That said when I'm without air conditioning like I was after one of the hurricanes, I nearly died when my house heated up past 90. I can't sleep in that kind of heat.

Anyway, it's "mop the floors Tuesday".  Might go to one of the gardens here called "Sunken Gardens" so called because it's in an area of town below sea level.  I'll post some pictures if I go.

Have a great day.

I don't tolerate the heat as well as I get older. Thank God for air conditioning. I hope we don't have an apocalyptic event that leaves us without because I would not last long. Hot yoga sounds miserable to me. BUT I'd rather be too hot than too cold, generally speaking. I used to joke that if the temp was much below 80 my mother was cold and if it was much above 70 Gma was hot. I think my preferred range is about 60-90.

Today is our anniversary and Hubs asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner. I told him I'd rather go play in the water, so we plan to go to a pool when I get off work. I can still do that with the boys one day next week. That reminds me that my first Summer in Indiana I kept waiting for it to get hot enough to swim in the pool at my apartment complex. By July, I realized I was just going to have to swim anyway. Of course, it does get hot (and HUMID) but I think that was a fairly mild Summer.

I could tell anecdotes about sleeping in the third-floor attic room with no AC, while growing up.....but honestly I just don't feel like posting anything. It's just more of the same-old-same-old here at Casa La Nannie.

Beautiful photos, Tweety.

I may very well have posted this before, but it made me think of you, Tweety. (I also could identify with it)

Great photos, Tweety!

You know, I think this is the first time you've grumbled even a little bit about sharing your space for an indefinite period of time. Even with a good friend, it can be wearing.

Stars, I know why you thought of me.  How many times have I opened up the dryer only to find the previous load in there?  Too many.

Yes, Ado, I don't grumble much but I'd rather not have to compete with someone for TV time, and DO NOT come into the kitchen when I'm in there.  Big no no.  LOL. It's been almost nine months and they are just starting on some electrical work in his gutted condo.  Took them all this time to get started..before this nothing.  Totally unacceptable but what can you do?

Yoga got to 109 degrees I noticed as I was right by a digital thermometer.  Another side of the room said 106.  Either way it was nice and hot.  I didn't die and didn't quit.  LOL
