Hi Tweety and Dianah, hope you both get better sleep

Stars let us know if you hear from Amo

NJ22 that sounds like a nice 4th

Was a quiet 4th around here, except for the fireworks.  Went bird watching in the morning, saw a bunch of birds.  Came home and took it easy and watched Dracula's Daughter.  Finished reading Braiding Sweetgrass, have started a scifi book I first read years ago, Bone Dance.  Not sure I like it any better the 2nd time  but I'm giving it another chance.  Slept better, put the  earplugs in before bed

My sister told me yesterday she tested positive for Covid.  I'll keep an eye on symptoms and test myself later in the week.  Chances are I won't be  going out with J this week,  he's  headed to Pittsburgh on Sat and can't risk getting sick

Going to be a very hot day today, I think in the upper 90s,  with storms

Aaaannnnnnnddddd- at 11 PM I went out to sit on the porch for 5 minutes. Nannie was watching the post-game show (we won 7-1).

When I came back inside, I headed to the den to turn off the lights and TV. BUT! Oh my word!  There was Nannie sitting ON THE FLOOR beside the side of her recliner, and her rollator- walker was 3 ft away from her, on it's side. Guess who took a fall?

I checked her ROM; her right leg was sore, but nothing broken. I put a folded blanket on the floor and helped her roll up on her knees, hanging onto the seat of hubby's recliner. I had her tuck her toes under and told her to grab the railing (the stairs are right there, too) I got a grip on the waistband of her pants, and counted off 1-2-3 and got her standing up. Then I put the footstool behind her and had her sit on the foot stool. After we rested and she apologized repeatedly for falling, I helped her get up to the walker. Made her go into the bathroom so she could sit on the toilet, and we could change her pants and pull-ups and get her pj's on.

Now she is in bed. WHEW!

 I did not strain my body in the process of getting her up. I told her what to do and how to do it and what I was going to be doing, and it was not difficult.

But Jumpin' Jehosaphats! Did I need this on top of everything else?

I still haven't heard from hubby about whether they are keeping him or not. If not, I have to drive out to the hospital to get him when he calls. I sort of hope he spends the night there, but I have no say in the matter.

~~~~*sigh*~~~~
11:35 PM: I called hubby and while I was on the phone with him, the doc had called the floor nurse, he was told that the doc felt hubby was a little too high risk to send home tonight. Thank goodness! And listen to this! >They still had not pulled the fluid out, so I'm glad they are keeping him! Earlier the doc had thought they might send hubby home tonight and have him "come back in a few days..." to have the procedure. A FEW DAYS????!!! Jiminy Crickets!
Well, I AM GOING TO BED BECAUSE I HAVE HAD EEEE-NUFF!
