Hi everyone! Just a week ago I made the decision to go back to school and get my RN. I've been working as an LPN before I had my kids (4yand 2y). The community college has a program that "transitions" LPNs into the last semester of the RN program. The last yr of RN school involves these classes: Adult Health Nursing II and Adult Health Nursing III. I know that different programs have different names for these classes offered at my nursing program, but I was wondering what topics are covered in AHNII and AHNIII. This may sound crazy, but I wanted to review and be somewhat familiar with the topics they will cover when I do start the program. This is my first time going to school and having kids. Thanks!

At our school our med-surg classes have names similar to those. I haven't taken them yet so I am not sure of the specifics.

But if I were you I would contact the main nursing office and ask them how you go about getting a syllabus of those classes. They will typically transfer you to the appropriate professor's phone and tell them you are looking for a current syllabus. Therefore you can see what these classes focus on.

Find out the reading list for the first two or three semesters as well as the one you will be entering. You should also get the textbooks from the bookstore for the prior semesters as well as the one you will transition for review. GL.
