Trying to decide the next path to becoming a nurse...

I am a 29 year old male. Graduated with my bachelor of science in 2011 in criminal justice and business administration.

I was taking prerequisites for the ADN program as I only had an additional 4 classes to complete. I was waitlisted for the 2 programs applied for at the ADN level and now trying to figure out what is next.

Looking at an ABSN program and two BSN program's I need to take General Chemistry 1, issue behind that, Statistics, Lifespan & Development, and General Chem 2. Geveral Chem 2 can be completed in the Spring. However, Stats, Lifespan, and Gen Chem 1 have to be completed by the Fall to meet requirements of acceptance into the ABSN program. Out of the 7 or 8 community colleges, I looked at them all for this class, Gen Chem 1 requires Pre calc. I tried pre calc over the summer online horrible idea.

With that said I am not that strong in math. If I do have to go the route of pre calc I'll have to take stats in the Spring not apply to the ABSN program.

Any second degree students in traditional BSN programs?

I did the traditional BSN route... no regrets.

So some speedbumps and maybe a good thing. I grasp AP2, but some test anxiety been doing average 70's for grades. Looking at possibly a 74 to 80. I am probably going to retake AP2.

Fall AP2, College Algebra, and Chem 1

Winter Lifespan

Spring Stats, Chem 2, Spanish 1

Was accepted as a student to a BSN program really would be excited if I can get in. All depends on my grades. Think retaking AP2 will help.

I can apply to the BSN depending on my AP2 and Chem 1 grade.
