Im was so excited at the end of this semester that I had finally completed all my GE's and Sciences courses to apply to a Nursing program. I know its very competitive out there so I tried so hard to get excellent grades. However two of my main choices where LACC and LA Harbor College... I know that in the LACCD website Chemistry 51was recommended for nursing students which I took. As I'm looking into my options I come to realize that LACC and LAHC have chemistry 60,65 or 68 as a listed prereq, UGH!!!! I tried calling the schools and no luck, I was so looking forward to applying to multiple colleges but sucks that two of my main choices might be eliminated. Has anyone taken Chem 51 and got accepted to LACC or LAHC or does anyone know if Chem 51 5 units is accepted???? I know Valley and LATTC accept it but I'm not planning to apply with them, as one has a 2 year waitlist and the other is a bit far from home and work.

Which LA college is your homeschool? I was enrolled at LAVC for awhile and they actually have an online counseling link somewhere on their site where you can ask a basic question such as the one you're asking. Try finding this on the webpage for your school and try asking that way. You might also be able to just email the nursing departments at LACC and LAHC and ask too.
I was not taking nursing prereqs when I went there so, unfortunately, I can't answer your question. Sorry.

The articulation and transferability agreements in CA are a bit complicated. I would recommend looking at the IGETC document (I believe that it is the correct acryonym). It lists which courses are equivalent amongst various schools in CA.
I would recommend calling the admissions office or program advisor and getting their answer in writing.
