I was just wondering if there are any people out there that know anything about their program, is there anyone that is trying to attend, when are you planning to attend? Also what were you experiences if you have attended their nursing program?:wink2:
Lindzey24,
I am looking at Moraine, Morton, Daley, Kennedy-King and Wilbur Wright (LPN) for now. If I can't get in anywhere then I will probably try to go to a private school. I am about to begin a CNA program but I'm not sure how high I can score on the TEAS test yet. I'm thinking of taking some math courses to brush up on that part while taking pre-reqs for the other programs. I'm just getting started and hope I can do it.
Hi RN_2B Im also starting at Trinity in the Fall and I'm so excited!! I won't be able to start the actual nursing program until Fall 10', but thats okay. I've been at Moraine Valley for a year and 1/2 now, I was just about to start their program and they changed it around on me. lol So now I'm just gonna go to Trinity and go straight for the BSN!! See ya there!
I went to Moraine, then transferred to a junior college...can i ask what pre-reqs you have completed in order to apply to trinity??
like most schools, trinity takes their students that have taken their prereq courses there before transfers.....so I have to be a student their first, and they only start the nursing program in the fall I believe. I still need to get more prereqs out of the way. Did you decide where you are going in the fall?
Lindzey24,
Did you decide to transfer to Trinity because of the changes at Moraine or do you think it would just be better to get the BSN directly? Sorry for all of the specific questions, I don't know how to private message.
I do like how responsive Trinity is for all applicants but I need to pay a lot of my tuition so I have to look for affordable options.
will I ever be a nurse,
I missed getting into Moraine by 1 point and then they changed the program just when I would definately be able to start in the Spring so that forced me to look at other options. But now Im excited that I will be getting my BSN out of the way too. Tuition is very expensive, that is why I originally planned on Moraine but i don't want to wait forever to start there program and I figure everyone has to take out loans for school so I just have to suck it up. lol
Lindzey24,
Congrats on your GPA. Hard work pays off. When you took your science courses at Moraine did you take one each semester or did you take more than one at a time? I'm wondering if I should only take one science course so I can concentrate on getting that A or if an A, would be possible if taking both a Bio and a Chem. Open registration starts Monday so I'm trying to make up my mind.

Will I Ever be a nurse, I actually think it is easier for incoming freshmen to get in now. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the old way they used to except students into the program but it took me a little less than a year and a 1/2 to complete my prereq's and now all you need to do do is be a certified CNA and take a TEAS test, depending how you do on this test in the math and science section will reserve you a spot in the program for the upcoming semester. So, you can get in alot faster but you still have to complete all the prereq's when you are in so the work load might be a little more and it might take over all the same amount of time to complete everything. Which programs are you looking into? Let me know if you have any other questions. Hope that helps! Good Luck Lindzey24
