I'm relocating to michigan also, I found this helpful. I'm thinking that MI nurses have a better forum....responses are not as forthcoming as in other state forums. If I'm correct, please let us know where MI nurses discuss things on the internet. If I'm mistaken, please accept my apology in advance.
Hi,
The TC hospitals have a very good reputation. I even know an orthopedic surgeon there ! The hospitals are referred to as 'Northern Michigan Hospitals'. A lot of doctors have moved there over the past two decades because it's such a lovely area to live. I hope you like snow:Snowman1:

Actually, Northern Michigan Hospital is in Petoskey, MI. The hospital system in Traverse City is through Munson Healthcare, and the hospital is called Munson Medical Center. It has a very good reputation, and I have many friends and acquaintances that have delivered there and been very happy with the care they received.
Good luck!
Munson is the main hospital in the TC (Traverse City), four county area. It's a great hospital - very caring nurses/doctors. Add to that the beauty of the four seasons - a wonderful small town to live in.
I plan to move back there once I'm done with schooling...

Hello,
I am 9 wks pregnant and presently living in Floida. My husband goes on deployment with the Navy next month and I am thinking of heading to my brothers in Traverse City for the pregnancy. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what the hospitals in TC are like? Do they have a good reputation, etc... The other option in Wisconsin to be with his family, equally cold!!
I really appreciate your advice and comments. Thankyou.
