Traveling for a PNR...

Published

Is it a dumb move?

1) What is the likelihood of being canceled before starting - at the last min?

2) Is there a way (tricks/hacks) to make the possibility of being canceled equal to that of a travel nurse?

3) Is it possible to do PNR in CA for 6 months without no more than a week break in a month?

4) Is there a company that can guarantee that? (that being a continuous schedule and no cancellations)?

Obviously i don't know much about PNR and my concern is probably obvious from my question so please do feel free to give any additional info

Thanks a mill!

Argo is OR as am I. I recently did a rapid response assignment in CA that paid even more than that - although it was 48 hours guaranteed which might account for some of the difference.

Not uncommon for L&D nurses to have similar compensation as well as cath lab. But L&D and OR have been hot specialties for over ten years now.

Specializes in new hire on L&D.

maybe what you may want to do is work per diem with a hospital directly. if you work for kaiser northern California you can have an hourly base of $95 with 8 years of experience. and as NedRN said L&D is hot because well you know why lol. Theres a position at the moment paying $3100/36/hrs (travel contract) good luck
