I was curious about this.........I could not find a previous thread to say yes or no. I am going to check out the traveling nurse club on delphi forums.
Thanks,

I currently work at Tri City and I believe they do use travelers in the ICU. I don't know about LD or ER, but I know they don't use them on med/surg or oncology. They just recently voted to go union (not a fan, but apparently others are) so I don't know if that will affect the hiring practices or not. Hope this helps.
Shoot about not using onc travelers. I would consider going staff if hubby gets the job. I PMd you about something.

I did a travel assignment at Tri-City in their ICU from 1/04-7/04. 22 beds, good variety of clinical issues (the only ICU in the hospital), nice hospital, nice people, occassional float (once every 7-8 shifts) to the telemetry unit (4 patients)-they're nice up there, as well. If you go, say hello to Willie, Charla, Andrew, Corinne, Donna, Genny, etc. (night crew). I had a very good experience there. Oceanside itself is not much to speak of-if you have a choice, live further south-Carlsbad (10 minutes south on THE 5), or further-much nicer cities as you go south. Good luck!!
Rnerin is oceanside peaceful/quiet? AFter living here I am so ready for a peaceful place.
