I have been out of nursing since 2005 due to Guillain Barre Syndrome. I have kept up on education and standards of practice. My mom just retired as a phlebotomist and the training room at her place of employment has allowed me to stay current on venipuncture and IV placement. I have taken the refresher classes and aced the tests. Now I will have my license next week and I want to travel. I know this cannot be an impossible thing to do. Its not like I have zero experience. I know things change over time but the general practice of nursing, pathology of disease, mechanisms of injury, have not all undergone such a drastic change in the last 10 years. I understand that I will not get an ER job in sunny SoCal. I know I will wind up with IHS on the North Slope in Alaska but thats fine with me. I just need to get started.

I need help finding an agency that will work with me. Any suggestions?

You probably will need a staff job first. No hospital will want a traveler who has not worked in 12 years. They want recent experience that suggests you can hit the ground running with minimal orientation.
