Just wondering what the travelers out there who contract with FastStaff, RNNetwork, and CrossCountry think about their agencies.

Are the honest? Is what's on the website true to what happens in real life? (housing, rates, bonuses, benefits, etc)?

I'm thinking of starting to travel and these are the 3 agencies under the heaviest consideration in my book, so tell me what you like and don't like about your agencies!!!!!!!

Have worked four assignments with Fastaff. Great money, no complaints

make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. If they don't mention something listed on the website, bring it up. Just make sure it is in writing.

I travel with RN Network, and they have been very good to me- my recruiter is honest, straightforward, and really looks out for me. I am currently on my fourth assignment with them.

I've done quite a few assignments with Cross Country, among others, and have not had any issues with them. My pay has always been correct and on time, my housing excellent, and the choice of locations large enough for me to go just about anywhere.

Been with Cross Country for 2+ years, the same recruiter for 2 years solid, and I've had an excellent experience. Good pay, decent benefits, housing is the one wildcard. Sometimes, it's fantastic, other times is meh. Any and all complaints I've had have been corrected quickly, there has been ZERO issue with my pay, and they've thrown me a few nice bennies over the years.

Salary is more negotiable than people realize, as well as any housing stipend. CCTC does a hourly salary, plus a monthly housing stipend (eg: $30 per hour and $1200 per month housing stipend) rather than a blended rate that other agencies use (eg: $37.75 blended rate is the same salary as the above example of salary + housing stipend).

To echo the others on this thread, get it in writing!! That's why it's called a contract.

Good luck,

I am on my second assignment with Cross Country and have been happy so far. My recruiters are great. I have opted for the housing both times and have not been disappointed thus far. Have had a couple of problems with pay but nothing significant. And my recruiters were always on top of getting everything settled with payroll.

I have worked with novapro (WHich is Cross COuntry despite the other name) and am taking a new contract with cross country in 3 weeks. You really can make better money with other companies, but Cross country is alright with me. I like the website that simply lists the jobs and payrates, makes things much easier.

Housing is what housing is. I am insuper good housing this time because I inisisted, plus they knew I left NovaPro for another company after my last contract because they did a poor job on housing.

I have worked with RN Network for the last two years off and on. I think I have done about 7 assignments with them. Right now I am working for them and Cross Country. The assignment is subcontracted through Cross Country. I really like RN Network. They have given me great rates and I get paid weekly except this assignment because of Cross Country's biweekly. Cross Country has also complicated things because every check I get seems to be wrong and I have to call and get it fixed on the next one. Probably because of things getting lost in translation between two companies. Hopefully it gets better because I just took my next assignment with RN Network and it is also subcontracted through Cross Country. We'll see how the payroll works out on the next job.

We are working for CCTC. So far we have been happy. The housing stipend is good, we live out of our travel trailer. However, this is our first assignment and my pay is really low. I guess I was afraid to push, since I didn't have any travel experience. My husband wants to switch companies for our next assignment, because of my pay, but I really want to continue to use this company if I can get a higher pay rate.

No other problems. Check is correct and in the bank at midnight. Got our travel pay w/ no problems, stipend w/ each paycheck. They don't refund licenses however.

I use RN Network and have been very happy with them. I am on my 4th assignment with them and have no complaints. Twice I took housing, once I didn't which I regret. This last housing is SUPERB!!!! I couldn't ask for a better place to be. Yes, most of what is found on their website is true. Except for my last assignment which was subcontracted through CCTC, I've gotten weekly pay, and one assignment was double time for OT so you know I was working extra hours, and the insurance benefits are good. I think it's almost a hit and miss. Some like their travel companies and some go between several companies because of pay.
