I've been travel nursing for about a year now with my tax home in Texas. I was living with a roommate and splitting the rent, while also paying for housing for my assignments. Recently, my roommate moved out and now I am having a hard time maintaining my apartment, drivers license, car and voters registration, bank accounts (things that are supposed to be tied to my tax home location) when I'm almost never there. I'm curious what kind of tax home situations other travel nurses have? Is it easier to move back in with my parents and use that as a tax home?

Better to have a roommate. Parents can work with a rent agreement as long as you have a room there that is just yours. I'd check with a tax professional such as Travel Tax first. Free phone consults.
