  1. I've been working remotely in utilization management, but am wondering if there is an area of remote nursing that is less micromanaged and strict. I'm basically tied to my computer my entire shift whether I have work to do or not. Is a remote case manager role more flexible?
  2. I've been travel nursing for about a year now with my tax home in Texas. I was living with a roommate and splitting the rent, while also paying for housing for my assignments. Recently, my roommate moved out and now I am having a hard time maintaining my apartment, drivers license, car and voters registration, bank accounts (things that are supposed to be tied to my tax home location) when I'm almost never there. I'm curious what kind of tax home situations other travel nurses have? Is it easier to move back in with my parents and use that as a tax home?
  3. I currently live in Texas and have a Texas license, but am looking for a change. I want to apply to jobs in other states and move to wherever I get the best offer, but on all of the job postings I see it says that a license from that state is required. Does anyone know if this means I have to have the license in that state to even apply or can I get it later if I get the job?
  4. I have been working in a NICU for about a year now and I don't like it as much as I thought I would going into it. I am considering leaving and working at a pediatric clinic. If you have any experience in these areas, did you prefer working in a pediatric unit like NICU or in a clinic better?
