Travel Nursing

I am interested in ER travel nursing and am noticing that a lot of the travel agencies do not list their pay for assignments. Does anyone know of which agencies to pick that always lists the pay?

Yea this happens a lot. And the jobs that they do post often seem to be "example jobs"...not whats ACTUALLY available.

I recommend that you search out some of the travel nurse groups on facebook. You will learn a TON in them, including advice on reliable agencies and recruiters, what pay to expect, how the whole thing works. There are at least three major groups (easy to find by searching "travel nursing") and several smaller ones as well. Good luck!

Hey there! I'm also an ER nurse actually I'm going to start traveling come July! I've just submitted the application for Florida licensure by endorsement and I cannot wait to start! If you private message me I'd be happy to let you know which companies I'm speaking with and give you my recruiters contact info!

I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it.

All AMN companies list their blended rate. This is NOT your hourly rate. It's what they calculate you would make if your per diem was also taxed. For example, my current contract had a listed rate of $38/hr. I'm actually making $29/hr with an additional $235/wk untaxed for meals and incidentals. The AMN listed rate does not include a housing stipend- that is in addition to the listed rate.

Fastaff also lists their rates. Fastaff taxes your earning, so it is a straight rate. Housing is also in addition to that listed rate.
