Hello,
I'm moving to SF in next couple of months and was looking for travel nursing jobs. I have worked 6 months in PICU at level I Trauma center in the past. Curently, I'm working at a adult CCU, which is a Cardiac Care Tele Unit for the past 13 months. I been a nurse for past couple of years. Have a bachelor in Bio and BSN in Nursing from Villanova University.
I have ACLS, PALS and BLS certification.
Any recommendation on agencies to work with or who to avoid would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

I would recommend going straight to staff. Better pay.

As far as I know, the Bay Area is one of the few places where this might be true. I have inquired with my own travel agency and a couple of others about SF and I would not be making the same amount that many staff (and not even close to their per diem rates) positions make there.

Staff makes much more then travelers in the bay area, but very very difficult to land perm positions.
Depending on your experience (scale is based on years of experience), higher pay than travelers is true in much of California. And the west coast in general, and other strong union areas like New England.
Very true. Though looking at the salary survey thread it seems to show that things are changing and jobs may be opening again. At least I hope so.
