I am planning to do travel nursing in the CCU/ICU and/or ER in MT,ND or SD. It's my first time doing an assignment and trying to stay close to my hometown in MO. I am interested in hearing about people's experience in any of these state. I recently got a Montana license cause I love to visit more of that state.

What are the hospitals like in these rural areas and the assignments?

I am working with Trustaff and valley health. Are these two companies good to find me the travel assignment in these areas?

Im a LPN who traveled to MT last summer. I went to Bozeman and it was beautiful. The people are very nice and very hospitable(hope i spelled it right). The hospital was very nice, HR actually has a list of places i believe of people who house yravelers. I could be wrong. Avoid a woman by the name of Marion H somethin. She lives up the street from the hospital. She trys to be in your business and then if you cross her she calls everyone around town stating that your unruly and a whole bunch of other stuff. Good .uck!!!

thanks strawberrykool. Do you now what are the best companies that have contracts with hospitals in Montana?

There are a bunch of Indian Health Service assignments in South Dakota and Montana. You should have no problem finding an ER job out there and the nice thing is they will take ANY state license. Ive known a couple people that have worked these assignments. They are rural and remote and the housing is typically a hotel or shared Govt housing if its available (most of the time its not).

79Tango. Do you know any websites or agency that work directly with the IHS? thanks. I am licensed to work in all of these states so I at this time I don't have to worry about that aspect.
