I am currently a nurse in Canada. I was wondering if anyone know anything regarding travel nursing in Hong Kong. If I was looking for a 6mth-1yr term, do I still have to take their licensing exam?
Cheers!

Are you trying to do it through an agency??
I'm pretty sure that you will have to take their licensing exam in order to work there.
Here is their website: http://www.nchk.org.hk/en/home/index.html
and there are forms to fill out. It seems like its gonna be a long process as they only hold the exam once a year.
Have you or anyone you know done it before? Do you know of any agencies good agencies that I can contact? I have been having trouble finding them.
Yeah, it's a very lengthy and expensive process for a 6mth-1yr term. I'll have to think about it.
No. I've thought about doing the same thing last year and I even contacted the Board of Nursing in Hong Kong trying to see if I can just get a permit to work for a year without having to sit for the exam but they told me I still have to go through the same process to obtain a license.
Do you have a BSN or MSN? I'm not sure if it would be easier for a MSN to teach nursing in HK?? You might not need a nursing license to teach, but I'm not sure. Don't quote me on this.
I found a post here that talks about relocating to hong kong as a nurse: https://allnurses.com/international-nursing/hong-kong-advanced-488648.html
it sounds pretty discouraging!
I have a BSN and specialize in pediatric OR. Not that interested in teaching.
Wow, that is really discouraging to know that you have to spend over a year to go work for a year in HK. As much as I would love to, it doesn't make sense to do that!
Thanks for the info!
