Just wondering if any travel nurses are running into this? Rediciously low pay for travel nursing ICU RN with 9 years experience when company housing included?
Spoke with several travel agencies and getting quoted $660-800 weekly gross pay with housing included for Compact states than they want to take out $318 for family health insurance!
Housing in areas if you find own your own is $900-1500 monthly plus all move in deposits so stipend doesn't cover that either.
When I travel in 2009 I got paid $1200 weekly bring home with company insurance, housing nice apartment furnished, and travel reimbursement to and from assignment.

You probably need to talk to more agencies. While my taxable take-home is pathetic, the per diem and mileage are generous. I am traveling alone, and don't need insurance. My extended-stay hotel is $1200/mo.
