Travel nurse advice

Published

I am looking into doing traveling nursing. I am 26 with nothing holding me back but my fear. I have been looking into agencies but most of it does not make any sense to me. I need advice about the top traveling agencies, housings, and stipends. I am looking into start traveling June 2017. The biggest fear I have is not being to find somewhere to live. Also I am a home body so really nervous about being alone. I have a dog that I refuse to not travel with so has to be a company that allows animals. All the advice would be great!!! Happy holidays!

Most agencies are equal as to pay and benefits. The agency will find you a place to live and pay for it in full. They will also accommodate your dog. You will be making the agency a boatload of money.. they want you, and will give you anything you ask for. Work with 2 recruiters, learn what they will do for YOU.

As far as living away from home... that is a different story. It is very hard to live in a new place on your own. I did it.. I was homesick as hell, it was worth the experience.

Good luck, let us know how it's going.

I've just started considering travel nursing as well.

I was wondering if you have made any progress. Have you contacted any agencies?
