Hi California nurses,
I am planning a trip to California in December. I am taking my parents to see Tiger woods play in a golf tournament. For those of you who are from California, what is the closest airport to fly into if we are going to be staying in Thousand Oaks?
Additionally, what is the weather like in southern california during this time of year?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You can google Thousand Oaks, CA and get maps and other info. Here's a link about Thousand Oaks:

Air travel is provided primarily by Los Angeles International Airport for regular commuters, while the Bob Hope Airport (in Burbank) offers faster, less-crowded municipal air travel for companies located near the city. Thousand Oaks offers public transportation that runs to both airports, via the VISTA and LADOT bus lines. Los Angeles Intl. Airport is approximately 40 miles southeast of the city, while Burbank Airport is approximately 35 miles east of the city.
Note that Burbank is a smaller airport and the airfares are usually higher. So I would fly into LAX (more flights, generally a lot cheaper).
As for the weather, it's usually pleasant. Bring a sweater (or buy one as a souvenir). http://www.idcide.com/weather/ca/thousand-oaks.htm
