Travel dialysis....any problems with RO/water - patient safety?

Hi....

I've heard a few horror stories from other travelers. So far I've been lucky and haven't encountered anything major. But a fellow traveler told me a horror story about a small clinic she worked at (six patients on a reservation)....regarding the clinic RO and the fact that they had no one checking or monitoring (no biotech nor anyone trained to be). The RN I talked to luckly had a tech just happen to check out the system and found out that the Renalin hadn't been rinsed out all the way!!! She noted this just before the patients went on! What a horror...I couldn't believe she stayed on assignment with the stories she was telling me. I've also heard other horror stories of unsafe patient/RN ratios. Any comments? Do you have any good questions to ask during the phone interviews to avoid these problems? Also what would you do should you encounter something like this?
