I have a quick question for other travel nurses. I was scheduled to begin an assignment in San Fransisco, at the end of this month. I was told yesterday that the contract was cancelled. I have already paid $690 in a security deposit for an apartment there. What rights do I have? Do I have any recourse to have my company reimburse me for that money? What options do I have? I have been with this company for 2 years, and have had no issues on assignments. Any advice would be appreciated!

How much of your deposit is non-refundable? I would be asking the landlord for that immediately.. I would then ask the agency to cover whatever $$ you are out. Of course they can tell you to kick rocks with little recourse from you.
Youve been with them for 2years so that should count for something. If it sounds like they are leaving you hanging, Your best leverage would be to let them think you will continue working for them and be willing to take the next, lowest paying job they have.. That will get them to play nice with you while you find another company.
