Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Yikes...has anyone taken this course. I am going to be stressed until next weekend when the course is finished with test stations and an exam....OMG...what did I get myself into.

Any info, tips, etc...would be greatly appreciated.

TNCC is offered by the Emergency Nurses Association here in the states. You can look it up at http://www.ena.org. I'm not sure if they teach it in Canada.

They do teach it in Canada, at least in BC .. I am taking it in March. Check with your local health authority for continuing education and see if its offered.

A lot of people in my class kept forgetting to REassess after an intervention. For example if the instructor tells you there is blood in the mouth/airway and you use suction, you must verbalize that you have suctioned and will now reassess. It's easy to miss that when it's not a real patient.
