I have been scoring around the same. But I was told not to focus on the scores, but rather rationales. If this will make you feel better someone who was scoring in the 60's using Kaplan took the test and passed with 75 questions. Good luck, keep studying and practicing.
I mean someone who was studying and using saunders, not Kaplan. Sorry for the confusion.

I study(ed) saunders (besides others). Each time at tests I got at least (and over) 75-80-90% right and I failed the exam. questions in the exam were not even close as difficulty...
I agree the questions were no where near the difficulty, but I felt that with everything I studied and I used 5 different sources to study from (for the q's). I highly recommend the Kaplan book b/c it teaches you how to arrive at the correct answer b/c that it was NCLEX is about. Seeing how you can arrive at the correct answer w/o knowing anything about what they are asking you. If I can offer any adivce it is to do a ton of q's before you take the exam. I did well over 5000 q's before I took the exam and I truely believe that made a huge difference. I knew I was ready for the exam when I was consistently getting better than 75% on my exams. Also, read the rationales for everything. Remember ABCs and safety.

I've been taking the quizzes and exams with the disk that I received with Saunders 4th edition and the scores scare the you know what out of me. I consistently in the 60's and 70's on the 100 question exams and on the quizzes I usually get 7 out of 10 or 8 out of 10. I continually find items that makes me go "Oh Crap", I need to go back over that. I guess what I'm asking is, what kind of scores should I be getting before I take Nclex.
I always took the 10 Q quizzes, focusing on my weak areas. The couple of days before I sat for my boards, I scored as low as 6/10 and as high as 9/10. I suggest doing 10 Q at a time and select your weak topic/types of Q.
I passed with 75 questions.
