After doing a fair bit of research and talking to several schools in the state, I have found that there are questions about the transferability/accreditation of Sentara's BSN. UVA, JMU, EMU and ODU have all said that they will not recognize Sentara's BSN for admission to any graduate programs. Has anyone experienced this problem? Has anyone sucessfully transfered it to any other school for a graduate program?

They don't appear to have regional accreditation, which would be an issue. National accreditation is desirable, but regional accreditation is as well.

I am a current student and they are working on regional accreditation. Word is we will have it in 2016.

I'm glad I found this thread because I'm trying to figure out if Sentara is the best way to receive my second bachelor's. Being able to further my education is a steadfast requirement for me. I've only messaged two schools about graduate admissions, and VCU responded positively. UVA on the other hand gave me an unclear answer: "We accept Bachelors credits as long as they are from a Nationally Accredited Institution." I'm not sure about this answer because I read a comment on here that said it only accepts students from regionally accredited colleges, so I'm a bit confused.
