You can get a second license in Florida once you have a Vermont license. You should contact the Florida BON to see what sort of requirements as far as CEUs they have. You'll need to meet those requirements. Each state is different that way.
Each state varies on how long it takes to get that endorsement. I think a lot can depend on the time of year you try, because new grads flood the BONs at different times of year, plus it just depends on how well a particular state staffs its boards and how efficient they are. Some are better than others.
I recommend emailing or calling the Florida Board of Nursing and see if they can give you an idea.
If I understand correctly than yes once you passed and obtained a Vermont license you can transfer to FL. To transfer once you have the Vermont license, go to http://www.nursys.com
than follow the instructions. Next, go to Florida's board of nursing http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/ to see what FL requires.

I am international nursing student, currently in India, i am planning to write vermont board of nursing exam.my wife is settled in Florida ... will I be able to transfer Vermont RN license to Florida License, and how long it take to transfer the license from one state to another. Thank you.
