I have a patient who is currently on a 70% aerosol trach collar. Double flow meter. How do I transport this patient? She's unable to go to 50% which is as high as my venti mask will go.

Sometimes for transporting a patient from one location to another a vent is used, but would need a physician ordering specific settings. Instead of transport are they considering ICU consult or Pulmonary consult? It may be unsafe to transport a patient on such high needs, but you would need to check with your units policy on transporting patients with a trach.

Ambu?
That is a good idea, that way they could bag with 100% FiO2. Depending on how long they would be off the unit.
