TPAPN and EtG

Does TPAPN really test for etg? I found Quest's Healthcare Professional Pannel that lists Options 1-6. Some include "urine alcohol" but none specifically say etg. I know there has been a lot of controversy regading the validity of etg testing.... maybe TPAPN just tells us they test for it to keep us away from alcohol??

I know for a FACT option 1,2 & 3 do NOT include etg. I know this because I drank heavy the night before I submitted samples before all of those test while I was in TPAPN. I did eventually relapse because they found actual alcohol in my urine after drinking 15 beers the night before. I restarted, stayed clean and actually completed the program 15 days ago. But I hate the way the program scares people into thinking they test for that when they actually dont. As long as you don't have incidental exposure a few hours before you test, you will be fine. Its BS. I'm not proud of it, but I consumed MASSIVE amounts of alcohol and was negative for all 3 options the very next day before I finally tested positive after a year of drinking....ive got the results to prove it.

Yes, ISNAP does ETG testing with every UDS if you have an alcohol diagnosis. If your diagnosis does not include alcohol (ie; opiate dependency/abuse) then they only test ETG on a random basis and you will not know which UDS includes ETG.

Some replies on this site claim that monitoring tries to scare us and say they Etg test but I don't believe they do besides from what I've read accidental exposure is a fact and Etg has to be greater than 100 thousand an RN where she tests wonders why they don't breathilze?? Anyway no one is perfect in this monitoring world just hope we all make it out alive cause this sucks!!!
