Totally Let Down By Kaiser Permanente

I am at a loss for words.   I was hired about 10 years ago at KP, worked there 3 years, left on good terms.   I applied recently for a new job in a new area as I was moving.  I was interviewed, and offered the job asap.  this was over 30 days ago.  I provided everything Kaiser needed for background check. I mean everything, transcripts, diploma, CPR it was all covered.   I have a clean background.  I also was hired previously with the same degree I have.  

30 days later, I have still not cleared my background.  The reason is they can’t verify my BSN despite everything being submitted and in fact documents were submitted several times because of the repetitive requests.  My transcripts were sent 2-3 times and was my diploma.  I gave notice and have just a few weeks of time left at my current job.    I reached out to KP and “they still are working on my background”.  I have done all the medical things, TB, medical clearance and even MMR shot, and blood work.  That was weeks ago!   

I was approached by a company who I interviewed with awhile ago.  They offered a sweet position that I put on hold for a week think KP would get it together.  I feel horrible I made them wait. But for some reason Kaiser can’t get it together.  I accepted the other job and just for kicks and giggles… I am going to wait to see if KP ever produces anything.  Thanks for the pre employment screening Kaiser, my new employer appreciates you. 

This has been nothing but a bad let down….  Big time.  Peoples livelihoods depend on work.  Kaiser seems to think we are free for anything anytime.  No wonder they are Union.
