Starting a new thread for the September 2024 start date new grad cohort! 

I went to the hiring fair yesterday and interviewed for 2 units. Anyone else go and interview? 

Anyone know about the ICU hiring? In the application it was for Med Surg ICU, and at the open hiring event it was for Neuro ICU. I got a call yesterday for an ICU interview and I asked, they said that it's one ICU department consisting of all units that are interviewing? Does anyone know for sure? 🤣

Also, was anyone able to complete any nursing school clinical rotations at Torrance/get any experience there beforehand?

Same... I have an interview & it was confusing for which ICU. They said they'll send an email with more info on location & document submission. I'm still waiting to get the email.

I haven't received the email either, they said I needed to upload LORs, official transcripts, etc. on the call with that email? Did they say that if you don't get the email to just show up to the interview and bring the documents, or we don't have to bring them at all?

I had my second interview for PCU as well on Friday. I do believe they're going to send out offers by next week since only 6 spots are available from the final 16 candidates that they had interviewed.  It's a crazy process though because 85 people originally interviewed then down to the last final candidates. 1st interview is mostly about "tell me about yourself" and "why did you choose this unit?" 2nd interview was a panel interview of 8 people where you are asked mostly about behavioral questions and at least 2 to 3 clinical scenarios from my personal experience. 

Based on the information I have gathered, they're mostly focused on personality and not too being stiff.

I'm unsure, I hope we just get the email soon so we don't have to bring physical copies. Do you know where the 2nd interview location is? She made it seem like it was at a different location than the hiring fair.

My second interview for ED was yesterday on zoom 🙂. They also let me know that most units will send out decisions within the next two weeks for who they will hire.

Do you know how many openings there are for ED?  I forgot to ask during my interview.

I didn't ask either. I am assuming (based on previous cohorts) and the number of openings online it's between 2-4?

Just had my 2nd interview with PCU last Friday and 2nd interview with neuro ICU today. Has anyone heard back?

Has anyone heard anything back? I checked the forum from Spring 2024 and people heard back the next day after the 2nd interview so im kind of worried 😞
