Torn between two nursing shoes. Which one?

Published

I need shoes for clinicals and I've narrowed them down to two from this website called Nursemates. Here they are:

I like the style of the second one better, but the first link has all these extra goodies made into the shoe that the second link doesn't have. What to do lol. :)

I'm not sure about the first pair, but I wore the second pair my first year of nursing, and I probably went through 4 pairs that year. They wear out real quick. Are there any good shoe stores in your area that you can actually go try on shoes at? I buy almost all my nursing shoes at a store called the walking company. I wear Dansko's. I know they are pricey at first, but I have a pair that is over 4 years old I still wear... just the toes are all scuffed up!

I'd go with the first style, because I own the second style and know they are very comfortable at first, but quickly wear out, causing sore feet. They also seem to have the leather flake off, and that's not welcomed in nursing school. Something else to consider: the first style (what I typically wear now) help keep my pantlegs from dragging on the floor, which is a huge no-no. The second pair have less of a sole and when worn, my pantlegs dragged on the floor. Just a thought.

I had the second pair and they were comfortable at first but quickly became uncomfortable...
