My assignment worksheet says: To compare and contrast findings in the professional literature related to care of chronically ill inidividuals and their families or caregivers. So far my ideas have been related to stress levels and they're ability to worsen chronic illness. I also have been considering doing something along the lines of individuals using antioxidants to help better a chronic illness. Although, I am having a difficult time figuring out what I could compare and contrast....

My idea would be JCAHO's Performance Measurement Improvements for ACE inhibitors, ASA and Beta Blockers for MIs.

There is all kinds of literature out there about the benefits of such treatments, and it would be easy to compare and constrast the JCAHO standards compared to not health outcomes when those standards aren't met.

Besides, these are the latest thing and you'd get brownie points for your paper being about a very contemporary concept in healthcare.

Unless I'm misinterpreting something, it sounds like she wants you to pick a condition where there is conflicting information in the scientific literature about how to treat it.
