I'm not trying to be holier than thou to anyone. I wouldn't do my job for free either - I'm just saying that if money's the only reason someone goes into a job, it is going to make that someone miserable more often than not. I have quit jobs making more money for a job making less because I was miserable at the first. It was not worth it to me. I am not saying that nurses don't deserve to be compensated, and I sincerely apologize if it came out that way.
I have been working extra here recently to pay for a major unavoidable expense (dh's immigration stuff), and you know what? The paycheck is real nice but the schedule is killing me. That is where I am coming from. I am not chastising anyone.
