As far as what is most challenging - I think it depends on everyone's particular circumstances.
The English/vocab sections were easy. But if someone were not well-versed in English then perhaps it wouldn't be easy, kwim?
The math was easy. Fractions, percents, basic algebra, metric conversions, etc. However, I had to brush up on all of this stuff because I hadn't divided a fraction since 1994 when I took College Alebra But, it was easy to brush up on, and the ATI book covered everything they tested.
The science was challenging for me. Not because the questions were hard - they aren't hard - so if you know science, you'll breeze through it. However, when the knowledge isn't there - even the easy questions are hard, lol! I only got a 70% on the science part, because I totally bombed the chemistry section. Again, I think the ATI book does a fine job covering it, but if you need more explanation of things then I'd get the Kaplan book too.
I got an 84.1 overall, which I am happy with! I could have done better if I had more time. I only had 8 days to study, and was only able to study for 5 of those days. So it's something that is definately doable. I did study quite intensively for those 5 days though.

I am SO GLAD it is over with! Now I can focus on all the other things I need to complete my application for the school. Based on my experience, I would suggest getting the ATI study guide. If you feel like you need more support for the science portion (which I needed big time), then I would also suggest getting the Kaplan book which has more explanations of the sciency stuff.
I personally thought the test was very reflective of the ATI study book, there were no suprises.
Just thought I'd share to help those who are still studying to take it.
