Took nlclex this morning

Published

Hi guys!I've lurked on this site all throughout nursing school but never posted. In the weeks leading up to nclex, I've been lurking even more, looking for tips and advice to ease my mind. I took the test this morning, 75 questions, and got the "good pop up". Still waiting to celebrate until I see my name on the BON, but honestly, I feel good, even though I don't feel 100% confident that any any of my answers were right :)

Congrats!! Hip hip hooray! What did you use to study with and how long did you study for?

Im happy for you! :) CONGRATULATIONS! GODbless!

Thanks!

I graduated August 24, took the in person kaplan class the next week, and took the exam today, exactly three weeks after the end of the kaplan class and four weeks after graduation.

I only used kaplan to prepare. All I really did was questions every day and made sure I really understood the rationales and why I picked the right answer or why the wrong answer was right. My exam was scheduled at 8, so on the days I took QT6&7, I woke up like it was test day, showered, ate breakfast, and started the test at 8. I didn't allow myself a break until 2 hrs in, and I made sure I wasn't distracted by phones, etc. During qbank tests, I wrote down the things I was unfamilar with so I could look those up, which I used the kaplan book to do. For the most part, I trusted that my school prepared me and gave me a good foundation to be successful.

Yesterday, I took it really easy, did a few questions since that was my routine, then went for a mani/pedi and ended the night with a movie. As corny as it sounds, I wrote myself three notes with "you will pass, my name followed by r.n., and you can do it" and stuck them under my pillow for sweet dreams ;)

This morning really felt like I was taking another practice test. I took a deep breath when I started and didn't look at the question numbers. It took me about an hour and a half which is amazing since I felt I was in there for about 10 minutes.

Congrats!!!:)

I will be taking mine next month...
