  1. Hurst goes over basics which is a nice review but Kaplan is best for questions.
  2. Kaplan is well worth it for all the questions and test taking skills-you have spent all this money on school - another $400 to $500-is worth it.
  3. I went thru nursing school with two children and working nights. I have to tell you it was not easy. I did what I could but sometimes I did have to miss games - and always felt guilty. But it has to be a bit of sacrifice -all sides will get thru it. I made note cards-studied on break/lunch, at games during their prep, breaks... You can do it. Looking back not sure how it all worked out but it just does. I also scheduled everything in a planner-from what meals we were having to what I had to read, games.... Good luck-you'll do it!
  4. I wouldn't go over board - but I would do a brief overview on answering NCLEX questions. I found reviewing too difficult - just too much to review - but do lots of questions read rationales. NCLEX is a tough exam but not as bad as I had heard-I was scared to death then I took it and it really is not that bad!
  5. Saunders, Straight A's in nursing (various topics), found doing NCLEX questions helped me have a better understanding of the material. Also, Kaplan Strategies Book will help you understand how to approach questions.
  6. They help - as long as you are in the 60's you are good!
  7. I took my boards this week and found out today I passed. It has been almost a years since I have been out of school-due to life throwing me some curve balls! There was a long time that I looked at nothing NCLEX due to circumstances. What I did to prep after being out for so long was I took Kaplan-very helpful!!!!! Do not think I could have passed without it! Did the Hurst Review- listened once and read it once. I also did the ATI app for my phone. Spent most of the summer working and spending time with my family. It is not as bad as we make it out to be-just do some prep, don't go over board and you will be fine!!!!!! I can't say enough how much Kaplan questions heled me prepare!!! Let me know if you have any questions! Again-don't be like me and make it worst than it really is-nerves can get the best of you-relax- 75 questions and I was done!!!!!
  8. Kaplan is the best prep for the exam-congrats on passing!
  9. Great work everyone!
