  1. YES WE CAN SURELY DO THIS!!! we made it through nursing school. I am planning to do kaplan+hurst coz i only did a self-review last time. and i will continue to read PDA by LaCharity because it is a very good book!! plus i will try to read Davis Nclex to success. my friend says that it is good for SATAs and alternate ?s.
  2. hi, how as your exam? hope that you passed
  3. i just want to let you know that too much anxiety will lead you to unsuccessful exam. just do some relaxation technique until the day of your exam, during exam take a 5 second break every 5 questions. trust me, i wish i have done this but i didn't. now on my 2nd attempt i'll try my very best in reviewing and taking up nclex one more time. GOD is with you. You can do it!!
  4. 2:37 am by [COLOR=#003366]jfb5143 thanks for replying. i just need some assurance from you guys. i dont want to fail the NCLEX again. i will start reviewing this coming sept. so i can extend the review for 28 days for free? so all of the kaplan's review courses are the same?
  5. hi yarong, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, WE ARE HERE FOR YOU... i too failed my nclex once, just last july 15th. i feel the same as you felt right now. but NCLEX SHOULD NOT BE THE REASON TO LET US DOUBT ABOUT BEING A NURSE. WE ARE DESTINED TO BE A NURSE! it just so happened that now is not the time for us. but let us make this circumstances as our advantage in our part, we already saw how does NCLEX works. i don't know it coz i am a foreign grad. WE CAN DO THIS THE SECOND TIME AROUND... just keep going on
  6. i feel so helpless right now. I can't go on the Kaplan-classroom because I can't let go of my two jobs since we are in the midst of financial crisis. but i do really wanted to purchase a review course. I just wanted an assurance. Is there anywone here who tried the Kaplan OnDemand and actuall liked it? is it as same as the Kaplan Classroom course? your response is highly appreciated. thanks.
  7. hi, yes i had my official result one week after my exam date.
  8. congrats RN :) do hurst+kaplan really helped you a lot? if so, could you give to us the reason? i will be taking my 2nd attempt this december and i will invest on those companied. i just need some assurance. thanks :)
  9. hello, so i am planning to purchase both kaplan and hurst coz both companies have a different approach. kaplan for strategies and hurst for content. should i do this? or is it too much? should i just choose one of them? help me out here guys, thanks...
  10. i would say just wait up to two weeks, as what you've said, it is not your fault but it is the PearsonVue personnel's fault, your BON is probably the one checking your result right now. just wait for the official result. i had mine 1 week after my exam. just don't keep on calling them. if your result is still not in your hand two weeks after, then try to call the Pearsonvue. just calm down..
  11. you are not alone, i too failed this NCLEX once, i was so frustrated coz i can't afford to take it anymore, but all of my family and friends and people here in allnurses.com helped my spirit to rise up again, now i will start studying again but this time, i have to invest with review center, like kaplan. i think that purchasing a review will help me coz i have been out of school for 3 years, and NCLEX is way different than the Phil Board exam. in sutdying, i will start on my weak areas, not forgetting my strong areas.. just keep your faith, we can do this, we can become RNs soon and help those who are in need.
  12. i would suggest kaplan review center, some of the people here in allnurses.com suggested it to me. it is 399 good for 3 months. it has a classroom and classroom anywhere set-up, you can search here if there is a classroom near you. Kaplan Test Prep
  13. finallydone14 is right, but you must not do what i did, the reason that i failed is as follows: 1. I OVERSTUDY, even i am tired, i tried to study more. DON'T DO THIS: it may give you more anxiety 2. I CRAM. i read a lot the week, theday before and the day of the exam. DON'T DO THIS, it will give info overload which may lead to anxiety 3. ANXIETY, putting too much pressure on myself, that i MUST, I MUST pass the exam. just study at your on pace, DO NOT DO what i did. you can do it!!
  14. yes, that is the whole CAT system, your scores have to at least be on the passing line ( like 10 consecutive right answers) in order to pass. and not only that, based on my experience, it is like right minus wrong concept, it is like one right:2wrongs. you have to answer correctly the hard questions (SATAs,etc), the priority questions, EVERY QUESTIONS. in terms of the practice scores. as long as you put in your heart the rationales despite of your scores, i am sure you will pass.
  15. thanks! i would probably pick the classroom anywhere since the kaplan center is 3 hours away from me. definitely getting kaplan right now, better to invest than to take the NCLEX RN again :)
