Took NCLEX today....

I got done in a little less than 2 hours (1st break hadn't been given yet) and came straight home (about 10 minutes away) and got the good popup. That was stressful! Now to wait and hope on the official results!! I already had a job so I am so thankful that I (unofficially) passed! I had like 78 questions. OMG so much stress!!!!

That rarely happens. I say go ahead & try it to ease some of your anxiety

So you can actually get a false positive result then? I would love to know if that's true.

I've NEVER known it happen to anyone personally but I've read a few stories in online nursing forums

Graduated from my BSN program 38 yrs ago. Suspended my license 22 yrs ago. Decided I want to be a nurse again. NJ said take NCLEX. I took the Hurst review. Today the test shut off at 75 questions and I got the good pop up! If I can pass this after that many yrs, so can any of you. Just take the advice given in these review courses and it will happen for you.

I tried it and I got the good popup. Thank god for that but i am still super skeptical until i see the unofficial result after paying the $8 in 2 days. Today has been the longest day of my life...and the next 2 days will be challenging. Ahh!!

For my study regimen: I used the Saunders (yellow) book for content review. It was great for content review. It comes with a CD of questions and i started by practicing those questions first. After officially getting my test date confirmed, I had only 3 weeks from the time i signed up till today to study for the test. I decided to sign up for Kaplan's Q-Bank. The questions were extremely similar. All the content that was covered in the Q Bank was pretty much tested on on the actual exam so I feel like it was money well spent (esp if i truly DO end up passing lol). I did all ~1300 questions from the Qbank within 2 weeks. I would highly recommend it. Know all your lab values and s/sx of electrolyte imbalance, know what the RN/LPN/CNA can do in their scope of practice, know how to prioritize (who you will see first), know EKGs because i had ~6 questions and although I do EKGs at work all the time, I never thought of actually leaning to read it.

Interesting. The only stories I can find online are about false negatives. Thanks for responding. Guess we'll see what my official results are soon enough.

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm testing end of February or March. I'm doing Kaplan for questions & will be using Hurst for content. I have the Saunders book but it's so overwhelming. I suck with EKG's. Any advice on how to study these?

Just found out my results today....passed!!!!! Man, what a relief! I was sure I failed it...I wish we knew what we missed and/or got wrong. I have so many questions about some of the questions lol.
