Took the NCLEX today someone help!

Published

So I took the NCLEX-RN today for the first time. A little bit confused, my gut is telling me I did good ( I walked out feeling good) at the same time most of my nursing friends said that the NCLEX was very hard, and I can't really agree to that... I think the exam was fair and certainly had its hard parts and a lot of analysis q's....I prepared for a month, hard core studying...I did kaplan class + all the qbank q's + answered all the question trainer....I got a lot of SATA's, Priority, One med. calc, 3 alternative questions and tons of infection control....I feel as if the kaplan questions were a lot harder, I did the PVT and I got the "pop up" ... I just don't know... Im hoping for good results...did anybody else feel like me?????:yawn::yawn::yawn:

Charm:heartbeat

Sorry if I am being dumb, but what is the pop up thing and the Pearson Vue trick?

Got my exam Friday, and like everyone else who has ever sat it, dreading it!

Just out of interest, if you are getting around 60% in the Kaplan Question bank and question trainers, do you think that is a reasonable mark to hopefully get you through the pass level of the NCLEX?

Been studying hard for over 2 months and am now exhausted!!

the PearsonVueTrick (PVT) is basically after you take your NCLEX, once your status says "Delivery Successful" you would try to re-register again and before you get to the credit card page you would either get the "POP UP" that won't let you register - which means to PASSSED...BUT if it lets you go all the way through the Creditcard page - it means you FAILED ... it worked for me! ... I did it 2 hrs after I took my nclex and got the pop-up....Like I said above Kaplan says you at least want 60% or above, you have 90% chance of passing it....I kept working on my questions and towards the end I was able to get to 90's and 80's ... You studied hard enough, trust me it will pay off!!! :D

Good Luck!

I did! I took and passed nclex at the end of january. I didnt think it was too difficult at all, and I felt really good afterwards. That was so weird to me because all you ever hear is people feeling like they failed. When I told people I felt good about it, I would get a puzzled look and the response, "youre the only person I know thats said that". haha but whatever. Congrats on being done, feeling good about it, and probably passing!

edit------- read the rest of the thread. Congrats on passing!!!

I felt the same way!! I felt good after I took my test and felt confident...at the same time 100% of my nursing friends said it was difficult which made me doubt myself because I thought I never reached the level of difficulty - but long and behold, I passed the NCLEX! I think its all in the preparation. :yeah::D
