Who wants to study together. am in sacramento, california.

Too bad I stay in TN

anyone else in california?

@nina.Kitty. I wouldn't focus on the grades in NCSBN. The questions are really hard. I get between 60-70 as well. There was actually someone on here that was scoring in that range and pass as well. They set the bar really hight. Kaplan says 65%. I used to fuss over my grades but not anymore. Make sure you read all the rationale for the questions even if you get them right.

I am in Southern California.

and for the person who asked about what NCSBN offers: Both Content and Questions. They have an excellent content package for Pharm. Best I have seen so far.

I just think this whole NCLEX thing is frustrating. It has majorly killed any self esteem I had left to e point that I was trying to figure out something else to go to school for. Bottom line, I could never see myself doing anything else other then nursing. When you think about it, we are at an advantage as opposed to other careers in the medical field. We only have to wait 45 days, where I know a few friends who were in PT that they can only take their test two times a year. I just find it frustrating because I graduated in May, not currently working, and have spent hours and months studying and can't pass this damn test! I know I need to stop comparing myself to friends who have all passed and have good jobs, but I'm sure those of you that are in the same position as myself knows how frustrating it can be.As far as the NCSBN, I took the 3 week session before I took my test the second time and thought it was extremely helpful. I had a death in the family and a lot of stuff going on at at time, so I don't think I used it to its full capacity. Everyone seems to like it so I will give it another try!As far as pharmacology, does anyone have any recommendations on how to study the drugs? I was horrible at pharm in school and still struggle with it.

Hey there you guys there was a post on this forum that lead to several links that you could download. It had the NClex 4000 question and it also had the study guide. Can some on tell me where I can find that topic on here?

Hi!! I just read that you did kaplan. Would you mind sharing your scores with their tests?
So is the NCSBN just question only or does it involve content also
It has both content and questions.

Thank you for encouragement. I just feel like a darn moron but I feel better when I talk to you guys I feel like I'm not the only one and I can do this...thank you
hey,

Don't give up or get discouraged. It's normal to feel this way, I was in your shoes when I passed!!! Here is what helped me......Kaplan blue book strategies (read all of it), PDA by LACHARITY (it's another book, this you must have), the AN STUDY GUIDE (type in the search box just like it's written), and last attend the free kaplan online review events they have on their web. They are only an hour long and there is like three of them. Focus not on memorizing but just taking your time to critically think your way through the answers. First Time i took it I used HURST, this wasn't enough for me. ohhh and Lastly...I'm very impatient person when it comes to sitting down and taking a test in an unfamiliar place sooooo I used the ear plugs and the headphones to focus and concentrate on my exam. I did not care about who left the place or came in...got really close to my screen and imagined that I was home doing my books. My test stopped somewhere around 120-40 not sure bc I hid the icon to the time and number of qs. I knew i had passed when I left that room.

ps- learn about how nclex works, how we get tested and how the computer determines your a passing student. This helped tremendously...u will laugh, but I sat and told the computer " you are not smarter than me", its set and programed by other people to target your passing level.

Good Luck, wish u the best!!!

@dragonfly: reading ur post made me feel like not giving up.!!thank you so much...and your right that i shouldn't focus on memorizing & that comp is only programmed by another people. can u pls tell me more about what else did you do or how did you study? more tips pls.and how long did u study as well!!!

@dragonfly777L: did u ever use saunders?
