Congratulations!
I agree with your post. I feel like there really is no "right" way to study for the NCLEX. That thing will throw random crap at you no matter what. Haha. I think its great that you took it early. I took about a month after graduation to take mine, and I wish I would have taken it earlier. I was constantly rescheduling my date and pushing it up and up and up. Good luck with the start of your career!

Yesterday I walked into the Pearson testing center to take my NCLEX. I was sat down at a computer and before I did anything I took a deep breathe, closed my eyes and told myself "You've got this. You know the material. You will pass." I finished in 75 questions and had lots of SATAs and "which pt would you see first" questions. I hear those are good signs. I went home and after a couple hours did the Pearson vue check. I logged in and tried to reregister for the NCLEX and it wouldn't let me. That's the good sign. I'm still nervous until I see my actual results. I tried to check it today, but no results yet. Tomorrow I should have the unofficial results. I'm so relieved its over, but won't be completely 100% stress free until I see the word "pass". Aggghhh I hate that they are making me wait 48 hours for the results! Don't they understand how stressful it is lol
What I did to prepare:
Kaplan, Kaplan, Kaplan! I took the 4 day class and did qbank questions and all of the question trainers. I reviewed every single question I did, right or wrong, and read the rationales. If I didn't understand or know something I'd look it up. There were lots of meds that I didn't know. At first my scores were between 56-62. Then they started improving and ranged from 60-78.
I graduated on 2/28/14. Took the Kaplan class the second week of March. Then after the class focused on the qbank and question trainers. I really wanted to push my date back, but the nurses I worked with told me not to. I had originally scheduled NCLEX for 4/18 but pushed it forward. At work the RNs would say that you never feel that you have studied enough and always want more time to study.
Now to wait 1 more day for my quick results.
