Took NCLEX-RN today. WOW.

So... I just got home from taking the hardest exam I've ever taken in my entire existence. I really don't know what to feel. A part of me wanted to say that I did good. But there's also a HUGE part me thinks I failed. I went in the testing center ready to face the dreaded 265 questions. I had a lot of SATA questions. Like, A LOT. I was happy that I didn't even get a single med computation question. But of course the NCLEX lady wouldn't let me get away that easily so the computer decided to throw in a bunch of pharmacology questions. I also had 5 drag and drop. Two picture questions. And lots of priority questions. Then my computer shut off at 113 or 115. I am not really sure because I wasn't really paying attention to the number of questions I had already answered (like I said, I was ready to finish the whole thing) It seems that I didn't know most of the questions that I got. Got out of the testing center really drained. Mentally and emotionally. I prepared for this exam for 2 months. Did 6,633 questions. I've read and written down (important notes) all of the rationales. So I just don't know if my heart can handle a failing result. I don't want to do the Pearson Vue trick 'cos I am so scared. People from Illinois, how long do you receive the letter from the BON?

What did you use to prepare?

Hi there. I did Hurst live review and answered their 6 comprehensive questions (highest is (lowest is 59.2% and highest is 75.25), I used PDA by LaCharity, read Saunders, rented Lippincott Alternate format questions from Barnes and Noble, answered Kaplan Q trainers (my lowest is 66% and highest is 73%) and answered questions from NCLEX 3500. I don't know what to do right now. I wanted to take my mind off of the exam since it has already been done but I can't help but think of the result. I am so lost.

I hope you passed!!! 👍

I took it this morning. You are right, that was very hard. It was one of those test that I could have passed and done okay, but if you said I failed, I would totally believe you. Finished in 75. Pearson vue trick gave me good pop up, but still holding my breath.

Hi! I'm sorry I haven't responded to all of you. I Learned yesterday that I passed! I've checked IL BON website a day after my exam and there it was, my name with the word PASS beside it! I am still in shock! I can't believe I am already an RN! God is really good!

Congratulations!!! That's great news!

Thank you so much Kryptonite! :)
