Nursing Students NCLEX

OK!

i haven't logged on in FOREVER, ive been on the site reading some posts but had not actually logged on to reply or post anything in about 3 years lol, I just wrote this post bcz after finally deciding to log on i saw a post i made on here when i took my NCLEX-PN in 2011 giving tips and advice. WELL here I am, after just taking my NCLEX-RN last week on the 10th of june to be exact to do the same thing! since TX updates its BON website twice weekly, i have yet to see my "official" results & i REFUSE  to pay an extra $8 to see unofficial results so based on the PVT giving me the "good pop up" i'm claiming the great news that I passed!!:wacky: lol i also did my PVT after my LVN test in 2011 and got the good pop up and it was accurate. My nclex RN exam was UNBELIEVABLE...lol honestly i'm not exaggerating when i say out of 75 questions, at LEAST 40 were SATA, i got NO math, NO audio, 1 picture, maybe 3 drugs, quite a few priority questions,1 arrangement question and SURPRISINGLY i got a few community health questions! That DEFINITELY made me grateful to have taken community health seriously in nursing school bcz i never touched it while studying.

I see people on here stating that they studied 8+ hours a day for 10 weeks at a time and i felt so unprepared bcz i literally went to starbucks two days to study and did test question in bed while watching netflix a couple of hours a day for a week. Essentially, i felt i had studied enough in nursing school and had lost that zeal after graduation. HOWEVER, i don't advise anyone to do what i did:no:! What i did use when i did questions was ATI, SAUNDERS& ncsbn (NCSBN did NOTHING for me personally) i averaged 99% on the ATI predictor in school and used the phone app and online exams as well as the yellow ati book that came with the ATI review they gave us at Texas Tech prior to graduation. To be honest, while taking that exam, i personally don't feel that studying any more would have SIGNIFICANTLY helped me... In my opinion, with NCLEX even if u dont know the exact answer, thinking like a nurse will get u %60 of the way there... %20 comes with going with ur first mind. We retain bits of info that our brains immediately identify at first glance.

Tx BON updates its website on Tuesdays/Thursdays so ill have my "officially official" results tomorrow lol... hopefully im not celebrating toooo soon :troll:

Guess ill log back in after taking my CRNA boards in another few years if God says the same haha (wait are there even boards for CRNA?) i'm not even sure

**extra advice**
