Took NCLEX PN stopped at 85

Published

I took the NCLEX PN today and honestly I feel like I failed. I couldn't believe that I studied all of those "Saunders" questions and NCLEX is nothing like it. I was averaging 70-90% on the Saunders quizes and in some at 60%.The NCLEX was not like the Saunders quiz to me at all, I was in shock as I read the first NCLEX question that popped up and felt like I was automatically guessing on the FIRST question. Lots of SATA questions on NCLEX and not so many on Saunders but even if there were on Saunders I don't think it would have helped. I realized at the time of the test that it was kind of "you either know it, or you don't". They aren't kidding when they say two answers in the NCLEX are right and you have to pick the one that is the "most" right. It stopped me at 85, and probably like many of you I called the friends who had already taken it and asked their oppinions on whether I passed or not. The thing that has scared me the most is that I know the last question I had seemed too easy, I mean it seemed like asking a sixth grader how to spell "CAT" easy. Why did I have such an easy question if they were only supposed to get harder the higher the test questions. So, hmmmm I guess the reason for the post is that I did the "PEARSON VUE TRICK" about an hour or two after the test and I got the "good" pop up. Stating I can't reregister and to contact a board member. I have another friend who took the NCLEX and she told me not to do the trick because it isnt reliable, however I have yet to see anyone on here say that the trick didn't work for them. So instead of scrolling through over 700 pages of other posts I decided to start my own... do you think I passed based on the trick? Based on the last question? Or based on the number? I hate the fact that California doesn't give us quick results and makes us wait three to four weeks. Boo.

Good luck with your official results.

Yay, I passed!! I totally believe the "Pearson Vue Trick"

how long did u wait for ur results to come out? i've been waiting for 4 weeks and 1 day now. i stopped at 85 too. i've been so anxious for a month now!! :( i'm really going crazy!:uhoh3:

It took 5 weeks and 2 days. Ridiculous wait. Now I get to wait another 2 before I'm licensed due to an old speeding ticket.

wow. its really a long wait. i was worried knowing that it should only be around 3-4 weeks. i guess i'd still have to patiently wait more...argh! i hate this feeling. thanks for the reply! :)

Congrats Hopscotch.... and good luck waiting..... I've been making my self sick waiting for my results... I took my test on April 8th and it cut off at 85 also... I just did the Pearsonvue trick hope it works...
