I know that this is a very stressful time for you. I took the test yesterday and got 265 questions. I would rather be in your boat then mine. 75 appears to be a good number for the most part. Keep your chin up and try not to think about it. I am going to tell you this.....the NCLEX doesnt determine if your a good nurse or not. That i am sure. Good luck and i will pray for you.

What kind of questions did you get? Mine were mostly meds, a few SATA (7-8) and about 5-6 math, all the rest multiple choice.

i took my Tues, got 95 q, felt like I was always choosing between two questions. I must have answered them correctly because I found out this morning that I passed. Good luck and God bless!:yelclap:

Thanks everyone! I got SATA questions, priority questions, 1 math question, few med questions

I hope we all passed!!!!!! Keep me posted!

Positive thoughts!

I also took the test today. I feel for sure I didn't pass. I kept getting questions on things I didn't know. I think I got the last one right, but I also think it was the only easy question on the test, which is a bad sign, in my opinion. It stopped at 78 or 79. I kept watching the questions number and freaked when it didn't stop at 75. I couldn't focus and kept fascillating betwen two or more possible answers. Does anybody know of someone who has passed at this odd number of questions? I know it's hard to predict, but any reassurance would be nice. It seems like those who have gotten 75 questions, all pass. Obviously, the computer couldln't tell at 75, but I'm not sure how it could tell at 78. I have already been working as a GN in my dream job. When I ask them what will happen if I don't pass, they just say, "you will". That doesn't make me feel any better. It will be very humiliating to come back to work if I don't pass.

We were told that the worse you feel walking out of the testing center - the better you did. Not sure how I feel about that because I certainly felt horrible about my 100 questions and my friend felt even worse with her 265. I passed but my friend has to retake it. I have heard of more people passing at 75 questions than failing at that number.

We were also told that no matter if we pass or fail that we get about 50-60% correct. As long as you have more right than wrong you should be okay.

Good Luck!!!

I took the nclex-pn today. It stopped at 85. It took me almost 2 hrs.

I kept getting things I didnt know...I didnt have any math. A few sata. Mostly priority. A few drugs I did not know. I had at least 3 that was "pick which meal is appropriate"? So like everyone else...I feel I failed too. I kept hoping it would shut off at 85...but now I am thinking it would have been better to have more questions. Because I felt like a total dumb___! Now the waiting begins.........

I also took the NCLEX Pn yesterday and the test shut off at 85 questions. I had 20-30 select all that apply, probably 10 priority and maybe 5 dosage calculations, and one or two drug questions.

I couldn't believe all the select all that apply!

Let's just say I fail; how would that be fair when they kept bombarding me with select all that apply questions? I mean, when there are 6 choices, there are so many ways to miss the question!

I was elated when the test shut off at 85, that's what I had been praying for all along. The test was like wading through mud - first question to the last one. By #7, I was on my 3rd select all that apply!

I have two classmates that tested yesterday and they both went to 205 questions.

Everytime I go to the BON website, my chest starts hurting! YIKES!

Specializes in med/surg.

keep your chin up guys!! Everyone who has taken the test from my class so far has passed, everyone has gotten 75 questions except 1, she got 86 & she passed too!

Hang in there I know the wait is terribble... I took my test on a thursday & had to wait till monday when it finally showed up on the BON website.

Good luck... sending thoughts of success to all of you!!
