Wow, I went and saw a counselor and turns out I didn’t need to take Human Development/Lifespan PYSC. It’s so frustrating, because I’ve taken maybe 5 more classes than needed through my college career and now I’m not even sure why I took Dev PSYC. What compelled me to do that! Ugh. Anyone else?
I feel like college counselors tell me the wrong things.

The course may not have been required, but it is relevant. You learned stuff that will be useful. In the end, though, you're the only one who has your best interest at heart. You always have to double check advisors. =P

A lot of schools actually require Dev Psych so it may not have been an extra class

Yeah I’m wondering if I took it just because of a possibility I may not get into my first choice. I guess it is a good class to take anyway.

All of the schools around here require Developmental psych as well, as either a prerequisite or as part of a nursing bachelor's. I actually just retook it as a refresher and because the programs around here like to see more "current" coursework. At least now you know that your butt will be covered!!

A lot of BSN and ADN programs require that Psych course, so not at all redundant to take it.
