Hi everyone! I took my boards on Monday and unfortunately I didn't pass. I did do the Kaplan class all qbanks, reviewed rationales, and did all my question trainers. I studied everyday for a good 3 weeks. I'm considering using the PDA book and learning extension the NCBN. Im giving myself a break until Sunday and start right back on Monday. If anyone has used the PDA and NCBN reviews, please share your experiences as to what made it a success. I honestly thank you all for your help. I'm disappointed in myself but I'm not discouraged I'm more motivated to get it a second time around :-)

Personally I don't recommend NCSBN. The exam is formatted just like Kaplan. PDA is good if you utilize it the right way.

What were your scores on Kaplan? I am going to begin the class on Monday, but during our introduction our instructor said they recommend you score 60% or higher on the tests.
I used the NCSBN last yr when I was studying for the nclex-pn, and I liked it. It was very challenging. I also used saunders. My test cut off at 85.
I bought the PDA book to help me study and so far I think it's good. I had a lot of priority and delegation questions on the my nclex pn exam and I felt a bit weak in that area.

What were your results from the tests? What areas were you weak in?

NCSBN is all reading. I didn't like the content too much, but the questions were quite good. If content is your problem Saunders is good, but bear in mind that the Saunders questions are easier than the boards
Good luck

i would suggest wait for the official result so that you will know which areas are your weak points. and if you have it, just continue to read the contents and do practice questions. that's what im planning to, i failed on my first try last july 15th. we can do this...
The report hasn't come in the mail yet.
