I'm 28 and applied to Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC. Currently completing my final pre-req (A&P2) and two days before receiving acceptance letters the Mercy School notified us they were closing and no longer accepting students.
While they have forwarded my transcripts and applications to one of their sister schools (Carolinas College of Health Sciences) I'm really struggling with continuing. I have been accepted into their pre-nursing and I will have to re-take A&P 1 and 2(ugh)
The biggest deterrent is that CCHS is a daytime program. I can stay at my job full time while I complete the Pre-nursing portion but then I will have to find something to supplement my income while in the full time nursing program.
I believe things happen for a reason...I'm not sure if school was closed in order for me to pursue something else or if it's an obstacle to see how strongly I feel about continuing the path to become an RN. I realize this will be the first of many school headaches but the uncertainty of financial stability while in school is terrifying.
I'm currently using my bachelors in communications for my marketing job but I don't love my job. It's a paycheck. I want something more fulfilling but I hope I'm making the best choice and not biting off more than I can chew by going back to school.
Anybody go to CCHS and absolutely love it?

Look into the CRIBN program through uncc
Thank you for the suggestion. Since this is my second degree I'm not sure I'm ready to consider four more years in school. But I know ultimately, to progress after an associates degree I will go on to a BSN.
Since I will start pre-nursing in january2015 and the actual nursing program jan of 2016 would I wait until 2016 to apply for the CRIBN?
