TO all the NCLEX PASSERS, I need helpp

Published

Hi everyone! I'm sure many of you have already passed your NCLEX and been working as a nurse or about to start a new job. Congratulations! Sad to say but today, I found out that I failed my nclex-pn. I'm sure you guys have the clue of what it feels like to fail something. Right now, I feel so depressed and lost after seeing the result of my exam. I believe it was my fault too because I wasn't consistent with the way I studied.

I know SATA threw me off because it's either you chose everything right or not.

I've only used Saunders as my review and it was helpful to me, but now...I just don't know where to start. I got 45 days to re-register for the exam and I'm planing on taking Kaplan in classroom since I work well being in class and hopefully this can help me better.

To all the of you guys who passed or have good strategies, suggestions, advices or whatever you can add, can you guys kindly share it?

Thank you for your time!

Decreased LOC is more of a Neuro assessment.

Don't associate "a patient becoming more confused" or "a patient becoming increasingly restless" with decreased LOC.

Decreased level of consciousness is when a patient becomes less responsive

Does that make sense? Lol I don't want to confuse you

Yes you are making sense! I was just getting confused b/c there were questions that included bleeding and decrease loc. I was thinking decrease loc could mean something else. But thanks for your clarification! :)

Hi! Thanks for the info. I'm doing Saunders again. Will it make a difference if I use the Saunders rn? I have the pn version but my cOmp cd drive got messed up and the rn was the only one that got saved.

Should I stick to pn or it doesn't matter?

Our school uses ATI because they (the professors) all seem to say it has the best results; that practicing the questions is the key to passing nclex. my plan is to just keep taking the questions and reviewing the rationales until I really know them. we have to pass a predictor test before they will release us to take the nclex anyway. Do you have access to ATI? It is probably expensive if you don't already have access, but I would just keep doing a couple hundred questions a day, and if there is any way to focus them on the areas you are weak in, I'd do that. Best of luck to you!

Hi Scott! Thank! We took predictors test before finishing the program and I got 83% I just know I have to study smarter with my time and resources than before and take as many questions qd. I hope to pass my second try this time! Thanks again!
