To those who like their nursing job....

please tell me what you do.

I 'd rather not hear ( at this time)about what some don't like about their job I kind of already know those types of jobs ( I think).

We hear about what others hate- Lord knows I do the complaining. I am curious what it takes to find the enjoyable, or at least tolerable job.

The what I do is irrelevant for you as it all depends on what floats your boat. Some love peds, some love geriatric, some love ED, a small few love working the floor. :)

What I've found is most important is working with people you like and click with. I can get through anything with my fabulous coworkers. I could go and dig ditches with these people (and I hate digging holes) and love it because we'd have fun together doing it.

I have to agree with the PP. What we like, might not be the same for you. I'm not currently working since I'm pregnant but the job I liked the most was working in corrections. It was the most relaxed environment. But I love peds & hope to work peds after I become an RN.
